The Challenge

Starting July 1st, 2022, Illinois businesses and residents could receive up to an 80% rebate for installing EV chargers — a real reason for property managers to act now. Chicago EV was stood up to catch that moment: a new company with no digital presence, needing a credible informational site aimed at large parking complexes, commercial properties, and multi-unit residential buildings.

This was an awareness play rather than an e-commerce build — the site's job was to explain the offering, establish credibility, and turn the rebate window into inquiries.

What I Did

01 Positioning a New Company

EV-charger installation at building scale was an unfamiliar purchase for most property managers — and Chicago EV was an unknown name.

Content and information architecture built around the questions a property manager actually asks: the rebate program, the services, the products — with the Sievert companies' decades of electrical experience as the credibility anchor.

02 Design & Build

A new venture needed a presence fast, without heavy infrastructure.

Designed and built the full site front to back, deployed as a static site on Netlify — the same fast, zero-maintenance model I use for small-business builds.

03 Technical SEO

"EV charger installation Chicago" queries were exactly where prospects would start.

Technical SEO implementation across the site so the new domain could compete for local commercial-intent searches.

The Outcome

A small, honest project: no dramatic numbers to report — just a new company given a credible face and a clear pitch, shipped in time for the rebate window that justified its existence.
