The Challenge

A builder of multi-million-dollar custom homes had a digital presence that undersold four decades of work. Their own philosophy — "the work doesn't speak for itself; it tells half the story" — applied to their website too: the houses were extraordinary, and the site telling their story wasn't.

The job was to bring the brand and site up to the standard of the homes: identity, structure, and above all the photography that does the actual selling.

What I Did

01 Brand & Identity

Forty years of reputation, carried by word of mouth more than by any visual identity.

Brand work built around restraint — the "Dream. We Build." positioning lets the portfolio be the argument, with the mark and typography staying out of the photography's way.

02 Wireframing & UX

Luxury home buyers don't browse spec sheets — they need to feel the standard of work within seconds.

Wireframed a photography-first structure where full-bleed imagery leads every page and the site's job is to get out of the way of the houses.

03 Content Curation & Photo Editing

The raw material was project photography of wildly varying vintage and quality.

Curated the portfolio down to the work that makes the case, and edited the photography so every image holds up at full-screen scale.

The Outcome

No dashboard numbers to report on this one — the outcome is the site itself: a 40-year builder finally presented at the standard of its own work, with the portfolio doing the selling.
