The Challenge

Twenty-five years of building in Montana, and not a single page of web presence — every lead came by phone and word of mouth. The first website had to do two jobs at once: establish the credibility the company had already earned, and turn visitors into estimate requests.

I carried it end to end: UX research, wireframes, hi-fi designs, web development, technical SEO, and deployment.

What I Did

01 Research to Hi-Fi

With no existing site, there was no baseline — the positioning, structure, and visual language all had to be built from research.

UX research into how people hire builders and roofers, wireframes for the estimate-first structure, and hi-fi designs around the "Build to Last" positioning — dark, confident, and led by their own project photography.

02 The Build

A small company needs a fast site with no maintenance burden.

A custom Next.js / React / Tailwind build deployed on Netlify — modern, fast, and cheap to run, with quote requests as the site's primary conversion path.

03 Getting Found in Bozeman

A first web presence starts invisible to search.

Technical SEO across the site at launch. Google Business verification is in progress, with paid ad campaigns queued to follow — the site is the foundation the whole acquisition strategy lands on.

The Outcome

+25%Increase in web contacts and leads since the June 2026 launch
0 → 1First web presence in 25 years of business

The best kind of small-business result: a company that had never had a website went live in June and saw leads climb 25% within months — with Google Business verification and paid campaigns still to come.
